Spanish Consonants

💡
We divide the Spanish consonants into two broad categories. The “Common Consonants” are consonants that are the same in English and most other languages, and thus don’t require practice to articulate. The “Uncommon Consonants” are those Spanish consonants that do not exist in English, and thus are most likely to be difficult for native english speakers to articulate. First, focus your attention on mastering the articulation of the uncommon consonants. Then, work your way through “All Consonants by Place” - as this will give you greater general spatial awareness and tactile discernment over all the consonants sounds in the language, both common and uncommon.
