Advanced Facial Articulations
Below are recordings of me doing more advanced articulations of the face. The ones that say (R, L & Alt) display three distinct movements, grouped into one video to save space. If you're able to do any of the movements, record a video and post it to
#faces
. Then you can choose one you can't do yet and focus on it until you get a breakthrough. Facial articulations are more for fun and exploration of the motor-skill learning process - so prioritize the language movements in your training. β£

Advanced Tongue Articulations (Position)
In part 2 you learned the basic horizontal and vertical movements of the tongue. Now with that ability, your next task is to fine tune those movements to capture all the possible tongue positions and movements.
A "sweep" is when you start from one side of the mouth and make your way down to the other, in very precise movements of the tongue. The more precisely you can move your tongue like this, the easier time you will have next week in fine-tuning the articuation of your target language phonemes.
In the video below, I quickly intro you to all the vowel sounds using an interactive audio IPA chart on wikipedia, which you can explore with this link here. Use the audio to guide your hearing. Then once you think you've got a sweep, record a video and send to
#articulation
channel, along with a description of your experience. β£
