The Relevance and Risk of Symbols

๐Ÿ’ก
In this lesson, you will learn the dedicated written symbol we use to represent each of the phonemes of your target language. Proceed with caution, because symbols have a very profound effect on literate minds, and this effect is one of the major disruptors of the natural language learning process. In the video below, I outline the relevance of symbols to language, as well as the risks they pose to use as language learners.

Reviewing the Phonemes with Symbols

๐Ÿ’ก
Click on your target language below to access all the phonemes we already covered, now with their dedicated symbol associated to them. You donโ€™t need to memorize these symbols now (or ever). This is just for exposing the symbols to you while you review the various phonemes in your language. Later on in the course we will use these symbols more, and you will start to passively make the associations.
